UpFront Records, founded by DeVyne Stephens in Atlanta, is best known for launching Akon, whose 2004 debut Trouble became a global hit.
Operating under UpFront Megatainment and distributed through major labels like Atlantic and Universal (SRC), the label has also supported acts such as Red Dirt and FA (Free Agents). Stephens, drawing on his background in choreography and artist development, built UpFront as a hub for nurturing talent and shaping careers.
